2026 Spring On-line Registration/Tryouts
Hawks pre-season practices (Jan 20- Feb 28) and costs. If you are selected onto the team, preseason practices will run every Tuesday and Saturday at Zebulon Community Park (401 S. Arendell, Zebulon) or or East Clayton Community Park (1774 Glen Laurel Rd, Clayton), beginning Tuesday, Jan 20, and running through Saturday, Feb 28, Tuesday practice times are 3:30 to 5:30 and Saturday practice times are 1:30 to 3:30.
Cost for pre-season practices are $150 per player ($100 sibling), There is also a full season liability fee of $20 per player. ages 16-19, or $15 per player, ages15 and under. Hawks players participating on the Raleigh Hawks BASKETtball team receive a 50% discount on pre-season practice costs. Make checks payable to Core Athletes or TCC (The Christian Community). In case of inclement weather, Tuesday practices will be held on the following Thursday at Zebulon Community Park (401 S. Arendell Ave, Zebulon). And some Saturday practices may be held at indoor venues. If we have to play indoors, there will be an additional charge of $10 per player ($5 siblings).
Commitments to the Hawks for the 2026 season must be made by Tuesday, JAN 6, to hold your spot on the team. This will be done by paying at least $100 toward your pre-season practice and liability fees (see above): and, if a new player, your practice jersey ($28), team jerseys ($135) and team cap ($25) fees. The remaining balance will be due on JAN 20. You may bring payment to the December tryouts/practices or mail to TCC, 4960 Harbour Towne Dr., Raleigh 27604
TRYOUTS are still being held until all rosters are filled. The next tryout is TUE DEC 20, 3:30 to 5:30, @ Zebulon Community Park. If you cannot make a tryout date you may request a tryout at a pre-season practice until the rosters are filled. To tryout, please fill out the registration form but do not make any payments until you have been selected to the team. The cost for tryouts are $10 per player ($10 siblings).
*There are a limited amount of slots open for non-homeschool athletes on each team. Those slots will be selected based ON players skill level and ability to commit to games and tournaments and abide by the Christian principles of the Core Athletes organization.
*Players must NOT be listed on another school roster or homeschool roster in order to be eligible for the 2026 season. Varsity players may not participate if your school has a baseball team without the release of the school's coach or the player was not selected to the team after tryouts. Players on travel teams during the school season must clear participation with the Hawks head coach before joining the team and agree to make Hawks' practices and games the priority. Pitching for another travel team or attending pitching practices with a non-Hawks pitching coach during the season will not be permitted except by permission for each game or practice from the Hawks coaching staff. Non-homeschool players must be able to leave school early on days of games. This is mandatory for middle school players since most games start at 3:30 or 4:00 PM. If this is not something your school will permit on a regular basis, please do not tryout for the team. MS players should have previous game competition experience. MS dimensions are 90ft. bases and 60-6 pitching. We will look at 6th graders but most of our competition is 7th and 8th.
NOTE 1: Any selected player who does not return his payment form by Tuesday, Jan 6, will be considered as not committed to playing on the team.
NOTE 2: By Feb. 15 all players selected to the team will need to get a sports physical, fill out the concussion awareness form and, if a new player, provide a copy of his birth certificate. Sports physical forms and concussion forms are located under the BASEBALL menu.
Regular Season Information and costs:
The regular season begins TUE MAR 1 and runs through SAT MAY 16. Practices are held at Zebulon Community Park, East Clayton Community Pari or Wilders Grove in Raleigh* on any given day Monday to Saturday, depending on the game schedule for that particular week. Games and practices are mandatory. We try to avoid Wednesday games or practices but will sometimes make an acception if no other options are available. Wednesday events would not be mandatory. We always try to avoid any Sunday activities.
Following regulat costs are estimates and could change: Three installment fees of $150 ($100 for siblings} should be paid in March, April and May. These fees cover regular season games and practices but do NOT cover uniform costs or tournament and travel fees. Indoor practices will usually also have an additional $10 fee per player.
Season ending tournament
Please keep your weekends open for a late April to mid-May tournament. We are looking at returning to the NACA JV and VAR National Christian Tournament, May 5-8 in East Ridge Tennessee. Post season tournaments are mandatory for varsity players. Details to come and a tournament deposit may be required. If you think your son will NOT be able to participate in tournaments from April 25 through May 13, please let us know BEFORE you tryout for the Hawks this season.
*locations for practices may change due to availability. We use East Clayton, DPC, and Raleigh Parks as possible substitutions. We use Grand Slam, Garner, and Pro 3: 5, Raleigh as indoor facilities.
