Middle School, JV & Varsity

Hawks Baseball

Founded in 2003, Raleigh Hawks Homeschool Baseball offers families the opportunity for school-level competition with an emphasis on Christian values and maturity.  Carrying a full middle school, junior varsity and varsity program, the Hawks' spring schedule includes games against private schools, public school and homeschool teams.

Hawks players are given innovative skill and endurance driven practices as well as important godly mentorship. These disciplines help build a foundation of character that benefit the young Christian ball player not only throughout his youth, but later on in life.

The Hawks also offer fall programs, off-season strength and skill training .

Questions & Answers

Can non-homeschool players play for the Hawks?

Yes. Any ballplayer may try out for the team if they are not on another school or homeschool team's roster and will respect the Christians principles of the program.

How far do the Hawks travel for games?

Most games are in the Triangle Area against 1A to 4A private and public schools, homeschools and independent hybrid teams. We also occasionally play schools in the Wilson and the High Point area.

I am a 5th year senior and not eligible for my school team.  May I still tryout for the Hawks?

Yes. Since we are not affiliated with the NCHSAA, we are not under their rules or jurisdiction. As long as you are 18 years of age on September 1 of your school year and don't have a high school diploma, you may tryout for the Hawks.

May I practice in the fall with the Hawks if I am not on the team and have not yet attended tryouts?

Yes.  All players who are interested in being a part of the Raleigh Hawks may attend fall workouts.

When, where & what time are practices?

All three teams practice together. Our majority of practices are at Zebulon Community Park in the late afternoons or early evenings.  We also practice at fields in Raleigh.  Jan. and Feb. practices are Tuesdays and Saturdays. Once games begin, we use non-game days to schedule pratices.

For indoor facilities we use Pro 3:5 in Raleigh and Grand Slam in Garner.
